Your creative work is worth doing!

And I’m passionate about making the process feel more:

  • Doable

  • Meaningful

  • Enjoyable

  • Aligned with your personality and preferences

Create with Joy

You’re serious about improving your work and growing creatively.

But you’ve gotten burned in the past by criticism. Insensitive feedback from teachers, family members or peers can stop us from creating for months or even whole seasons of our lives.

You need someone who knows her stuff and has the empathy and skills to guide you through this vulnerable process feeling intact. Someone who knows what it means to take risks and ride the artistic ups and downs.

Here to accompany and encourage

… not eviscerate!

My goal is to support you to make your best work.

I give feedback with love and from experience. Been there, still there! As a memoir writer, I know how personal this sort of counsel is.

For me, creativity is the key to feeling alive. I appreciate your trust and the risk you take in sharing this vital part of yourself.

I believe that…

You have permission

You are allowed to create! To take up space, to have a voice.

Your work matters

Creativity is key to making a meaningful life and finding our place in the world. Even if it matters only to you at this point, the rewards of the creative life are worth the struggle.

The world needs creatives

We need inspiration, beauty, truth, and innovation—as much as we can get! The world will be richer if we all make and share our work. Let’s find the courage to put it out there!

Hard things are possible

The meaningful aspects of our life can be the most perplexing and complicated. And our culture does not encourage serious creativity. But you don’t have to go it alone!

The personal bio

I’m a multipassionate whose life calling seems to be taking on hard projects. Starting life over in a new country and language (American living in France). Healing my past through memoir writing. Multicultural and multilingual parenting.

Sometimes I wish I could opt for an easier path, but it turns out this is kind of my deal. I believe that with a little support and encouragement, you can make progress on your hard thing, too!

I’m a cis female bisexual writer, recovering perfectionist, intuitive empath, Pisces, and fan of nonviolent communication. In spite of the hard edges of our world, I aim to operate from the house of love instead of the house of fear. (Why I finally specialized in romance instead of thrillers!)

Explore how you can work with me:

Developmental editing

You have a full draft of a novel or memoir and want help before you rewrite. You'll get notes on story elements like character development and motivation, pacing, point of view, and conflict. I offer a variety of feedback formats to suit different rewriting and learning styles.

Sentence-level editing

You need some support making the language in your book manuscript shine. In line editing and copyediting, I'll take a look at grammar and retain your unique voice while focusing on consistency and clarity. Available for fiction and nonfiction.

Artist's Way group coaching

Stuck in your creative work? Julia Cameron's 12-week book The Artist's Way is a classic tool for unleashing creativity and pushing through blocks, but it is hard to get through alone! Come work through the book in a supportive group setting.
